Hi, I’m Luke, and I’m a super playful, loving and sweet boy.

I’m a smart boy and I catch on quick. Because I’m deaf I’ve learned a lot of hand signals to communicate with you. But if you really want to know what I’m thinking all you have to do is look into my expressive blue eyes.

I’m into toys and I love to play and wrestle. Car rides and walks are also huge treats for me because I am an explorer at heart and will take advantage of any opportunity to see the world.

I never counter surf because I know the difference between your food and mine. Also, I’m very eager to please my family and will do anything for you. If you wouldn’t mind giving me a little neck or ear scratch in return, I would greatly appreciate it.

My favorite activities include going for jogs; hanging out in the kitchen with foster mom when she is making dinner; snuggling with foster mom and dad in the morning; and anticipating my next treat (they’re currently kept in the pantry … just sayin’). Also, I’m big into sleep – is there anything better?! – and I especially love it when my bed is near yours so I can keep an eye on everyone and truly feel a part of the family. 

Cats are okay, but I don’t like other dogs so please don’t make me share my home with one. New people are cool with me since I’m not fearful by nature, but I do like to be introduced to new situations and people slowly – give me a little time to sniff you out, okay? In particular, teeny tiny people make me a little nervous so, again, slow and steady wins the race.
