Listed below are the Great Danes we have placed this year.

_________________________________

Sugar (formerly Tristin)

Adopted 6-07-05

Tristin went to his forever home with Anne and her daughter in Omaha. He will have a cat named "Cleo" and a chihuahua named "Sysco" to play with. Anne grew up around Danes, so she is thrilled to finally have one of her own and was overwhelmed with excitement when he finally arrived. She uses sign language at work and with her current dog and her last dog was deaf, so this is the perfect home for Tristin. They have decided to rename him "Sugar" and he will be spoiled rotten! Anne is also interested in becoming a volunteer, so we are happy to have another Nebraska supporter.

Max (formerly Two Socks)

Adopted 6-10-05

Max went to his forever home with Kim and her two kids, Tara and Jess, in Centennial. They have been wanting a Dane for a long time and can hardly believe their dreams have finally come true. They bought him new bowls, beds, and toys and will make sure he is spoiled rotten the rest of his days. They are also thinking about adding a second Dane to their family once Max has had time to settle into his new home.

Duke

Adopted 6-15-05

Duke went to his forever home with Chad and Jenn in Dillon. Chad drove down to pick him up and surprise Jenn, who thinks Duke is coming Sunday. Chad and Jenn are a wonderful, just-married couple who were looking for a mellow dog to keep them company—and Duke is certainly that! Duke adores them. He will have lots of attention since his new parents work opposing shifts, and he will have two cats to keep him company.

Butter

Adopted 6-18-05

Butter will be living out the remainder of her days with Julie, Marcus and their two daughters Cassidy and Erin. They have a house full of Danes and a Dalmatian that she loves to harass and play with. We are so happy that our very special Butter girl has found such a wonderful home to love and adore her (even when she is naughty)!

Julie and Marcus just couldn't bare to part with Butter after having her at their house for so long. As most of you know, Julie took care of Butter and her litter mates when they were born and then took Butter back into foster at her house when she was returned. Butter is incredibly happy there and couldn't have found a better forever home.

Sugar

Adopted 6-19-05

Sugar went to her forever home with Kate in Denver. Kate is one of our very own volunteers and simply fell head over heels in love with Sugar the moment she met her! Sugar adores her new sister Bella and they play for hours every day. Sugar navigated her way around her new home quicker than you can imagine and will get to go to doggy daycare and for lots of trips to the dog park with her new mommy.

Kosmo (formerly Cedric)

Adopted 6-19-05

Cedric went to his forever home with Tracy and Andrew in Denver. They adopted their first Dane, George, from RMGDRI and are thrilled to add a second to their family. George's tail was going crazy wagging with excitement and Cedric immediately wanted to play with his new sister, so they will soon be best of friends. Cedric's new parents have decided to rename him Kosmo after the character on Seinfeld to go with George. The two siblings will enjoy lots of trips to the dog park!

Little Boy Blue

Adopted 6-19-05

Little Boy Blue went to his forever home with Tyler in Manhattan, KS. He will have a collie mix to play with that belongs to his roommate and he will be incredibly loved and spoiled! Tyler is thrilled to finally have his baby boy home and Little Boy Blue went right up to him and showed him what a Dane lean was all about, practically knocking him over.

Princess Oreo (formerly Sloane)

Adopted 6-23-05

Sloane went to her forever home with Shaun and Sophie in Strasburg. She has a new Dane sister named Christie and it was love at first sight for them both. Her new parents are madly in love with her as well and will be renaming her "Princess," which is very appropriate! Sloane will be loved to pieces by her new family.

Arwen

Adopted 6-25-05

Arwen finally went to her forever home with Julie in Broomfield. She has a greyhound/lab mix sister that will keep her company. Her new Mom loved her and was very excited to start off the weekend by getting to know Arwen. She also can't wait to take her to the dog park. Arwen climbed right into the car and laid down as if to say "I am home".

Lenny

Adopted 6-27-05

Lenny went to his forever home with Mark and his girlfriend in Fort Collins. Lenny has a Saint Bernard brother named "Duke" and a cat named "Earl" to play with in his new home. His new dad can't wait to take him camping and spend lots of time getting to know his new baby. Lenny will be spoiled rotten.

Cricket

Adopted 6-30-05

Cricket went to his forever home with Johanne and Dave in Woodland Park. He has a 10 year old Dane sister named "Gretchen" to keep him company. His new parents will spare no expense at making sure he is happy and comfortable for many years to come! They are thrilled to have a second Dane in the house again and fell in love with their new addition at first sight. Cricket could not have found a more perfect forever home.

Zeus

Adopted 6-30-05

Zeus went to his forever home today with Jamie and Reuben in Littleton. Zeus has a new Dane sister and a cat to play with and the Danes entertained us all as they zoomed around the house doing laps chasing each other. It truly was a match made in heaven and his new parents were very impressed at all of the tricks that Zeus has learned from his foster parents. He will be extremely loved and spoiled and we looking forward to watching him grow and flourish in his new home.
