Duke

Adopted 11-10-06

Duke went to his forever home with Jennifer in Thornton. Even her family was there to welcome her new addition. He will be the only dog and spoiled rotten, just like he deserves! His new mom loves to go on walks and already had an appointment set up to get him fitted for his new gentle leader. Jennifer is home most of the time, so Duke will rarely have to be left alone. She also plans to get him trained as a Companion Animal. We are so happy that Duke has found his forever home at last where he can romp and play in his big backyard and get all sorts of love and attention!

 

Sophie (formerly Daisy Mae)

Adopted 11-12-06

Daisy Mae went to her forever home with Kim & Manny in Westminster. She will be the only dog for now, so they will have lots of time to work on obedience training. Down the road, they hope to adopt a purebred Dane for her to play with. Someone comes home at lunch everyday and they look forward to taking their new addition to the park for lots of walks and to play ball. It was love at first sight for them all and they decided to rename her Sophie. Her new parents also had a brand new crate and all sort of treats and toys awaiting the arrival of their new addition!

Peady

Adopted 11-12-06

Peady went to his forever with with Christine, one of our very own volunteers, and her husband in Gardner. He has an adorable Great Dane sister named Precious and a Lab mix brother named Brutus to keep him company, so he will have lots of friends to romp and play with. His new mom also takes 45 minute walks daily and plans to get Peady started on basic obedience classes immediately. The dogs have their own room and he will be extremely loved and spoiled by his new family! We are so happy that we will get to watch him grow and flourish in his new home.

Ellie

Adopted 11-13-06

Ellie went to her forever home with Mocha in Aurora. She will be the only dog for now, but her new mom hopes to adopt a second Dane in the near future, once Ellie gets adjusted to her new home. Mocha looks forward to taking her new baby for lots of walks on the nearby trails and can take her to work with her also. Mocha was overwhelmed with excitement and Ellie took to her immediately as she buried her face in her lap and laid across her. She will be very loved and spoiled for the rest of her days!

Guido

Adopted 11-16-06

Guido went to his forever home with Miguel and Phyllis in Colorado Springs. He has a Dalmatian sister and a cat to keep him company. His new mom could hardly contain her excitement over her new baby and could not wait to get him home and spoil him rotten. Guido and his new sister have their very own room and get to go for lots of walks and trips to the park to play. He will be extremely loved and will only receive the best of care!

Haley

Adopted 11-19-06

Haley went to her forever home with Lisa in Saratoga. Her new mom has tons of Dane experience and adopted her current Dane, Hannah, from RMGDRI. Hannah has put on a lot of weight and made a ton of progress while with Lisa, so Haley is in great hands! The girls hit it off immediately and will be great friends. Haley's new mom already has a vet appointment set up and Glucosamine on order for her new baby. She is also home all the time, so there is plenty of love and attention to go around and she will rarely be left alone.

Sasha

Adopted 11-19-06

Sasha went to her forever home with Douglas, Paula, and their son in Douglas, WY. She has a Kelpie and a Yorkshire Terrier brother as well as a cat to keep her company. Her new parents were so excited about their new addition that they drove all the way to Denver to pick her up. They also went shopping in preparation for her arrival and got her a brand new leash, collar, gentle leader, dog bed, and toys to play with when she gets home. Sasha will be very loved and spoiled for the rest of her life!

 

Spooky

Adopted 11-21-06

Spooky went to his forever home with Christina, her boyfriend, and step-daughter in Wichita. He has a new Dane sister named "Lucky" to show him the ropes and play with. His new mom is home during the day, so she will have lots of time to spend working with him on manners. He hit it off right away with everyone and is in wonderful hands! Spooky will be very loved and spoiled.

Trailer

Adopted 11-21-06

Trailer went to his forever home with Dane and Brianna in Lakewood. He will be the only dog, so they will have plenty of time to work on obedience and to spoil him rotten! They had a brand new leash, collar, and name tag for him when we arrived and couldn't get over how handsome he was. His new parents were also very excited to take him to meet their parents for Thanksgiving so that he can run and play on their 4 acres with the other dogs. Trailer's new parents would like to become volunteers, so we look forward to seeing them all at future events.

Daisy

Adopted 12-2-06

Daisy went to her forever home with Amanda in Brighton. She also has an Airdale/Scottish Deerhound mix sister name Brigit and a cat to play with! Her new mom was so excited that she made her new addition a pretty purple coat and a brand new dog bed in preparation for her arrival. She also plans to become a volunteer and made a number of extra dog beds for foster dogs which she donated. Daisy is in wonderful hands and will be extremely spoiled, just like she deserves!

Dewey

Adopted 12-3-06

Dewey went to his forever home with Britt & Justin in Denver. He has a Husky brother named Ice to play with. Britt's sister fosters for RMGDRI and her mom owns a Dane, so he also will have lots of Dane friends to play with on a regular basis also. Dewey's new parents are head over heels in love with their great big new addition and will make sure that he gets whatever he needs to live a long and healthy life with them!

Cosmoe

Adopted 12-3-06

Cosmoe went to his forever home with Jodi in Salt Lake City. He has a Dane sister named Samantha and 2 Cocker Spaniel mixes to keep him company. His new mom just lost her older Dane/Mastiff mix, so she is thrilled to have another senior citizen in the house again. She looks forward to taking Cosmoe for lots of walks to help him shed a few pounds and will make sure he is on good pain meds to help his arthritis and make him as comfortable as possible. Jodi is a fellow volunteer, so he is in good hands. Cosmoe will be extremely loved and spoiled for the rest of his days, which we hope are many!

Patch (formerly Till)

Adopted 12-3-06

Till went to his forever home with Warren & Trina in Bennett. He has a Scottish Deerhound sister, a Bouvier sister, cats and horses to keep him company. His new family has 40 acres for him to run and play on! They will also do whatever is necessary to make sure his hips don't cause him too much pain. They have owned Danes before, so Till is in wonderful hands! He will be very loved and pampered for the rest of his life.

Freida

Adopted 12-4-06

Freida went to her forever home with Doug and Jeanie in Loveland. She has a Mastiff/Shepherd mix brother and a Boxer sister to play with! Someone is home the majority of the time, so she will rarely have to be left alone. It was love at first sight for them all and was a perfect match. Freida will be extremely loved and spoiled for the rest of her days! Her new parents also would like to become volunteers and maybe even help out with fostering, so we look forward to seeing them all at future events.

Hudson (formerly Hoover)

Adopted 12-8-06

Hoover went to his forever home with Tony & Kristie in Littleton. He also has a Basset Hound sister named Lexi and she and Hoover were immediately playing and rough housing as if they were long lost friends. Hoover took to his new parents right away and was showing Kristie what Dane kisses are all about! They look forward to bringing their new addition to upcoming events and he will be very loved.

Zeb (formerly Saturn)

Adopted 12-14-06

Saturn went to his forever home with Miria in Laramie. She has tons of Dane experience, so he is in good hands! She is also very active and looks forward to taking her new addition camping and hiking. He will be the only child and spoiled rotten. Miria couldn't get over how handsome he was and he just about knocked her over with a great big Dane lean to show his approval.

Pippy

Adopted 12-16-06

Pippy went to her forever home with Gretchen & Daniel in Durango. She has a Rottweiler sister and a mix brother to play with who were very excited about their new puppy playmate! They go for lots of walks and trips to the dog park, so she will get plenty of exercise and socialization. She looked very warm and cute in her new smiley face blanket as she headed home.

Zu Zu (formerly Annie)

Adopted 12-17-06

Annie went to her forever home with Dusty & Carrie in Littleton. She has a chocolate lab brother named Gus and a cat to play with. They were very happy to finally be able to take their new baby home! They have decided to rename her Zu Zu after the character on "It's a Wonderful Life" and she will be extremely loved and spoiled.

Tramp

Adopted 12-17-06

Tramp went to his forever home with Ruthie and John in Castle Rock. He has a cat at home to keep him company and someone is home during the day, so he will rarely have to be left alone. They couldn't believe how big he has gotten! His new parents were very excited to take him home and have lots of toys and treats awaiting his arrival! He will be very loved.


Oliver

Adopted 12-17-06

Oliver went to his forever home with Carol, Troy, and their three kids in Salt Lake City. His new mom was very excited to see him! He has a 5 month old female Dane named Vesta and a Westie mix to play with. Carol is home during the day, so she'll have plenty of time to spoil him rotten and she already has Oliver signed up for puppy classes. He is in wonderful hands and will be very loved!

Apollo

Adopted 12-17-06

Apollo went to his forever home with Kathy & her daughter Kelley in Brighton. He has a show Dane sister named Disa and several cats, horses, and goats to keep him company. His new mom is retired and home most of the time, so he will rarely have to be left alone. Kelley is a vet tech, so he is in wonderful hands and they will make sure he receives the best care possible. Apollo will be spoiled rotten by his new family.

Ernie (formerly Jazz)

Adopted 12-17-06

Jazz went to his forever home with Ryan in Denver. He will be the only child and get all the attention a guy could dream of! His new dad was very excited and had a brand new bed and collar awaiting his arrival. He looks forward to taking his new addition for lots of hikes and trips to the park and plans to enroll him in obedience classes right away. Jazz is in wonderful hands and his new dad is trying to figure out the perfect name to symbolize the start of a new life for him!

Claire (formerly Lady)

Adopted 12-23-06

Lady went to her forever home with Kirsten & Scott in Parker. It was love at first site and Lady seems very smitten with them as well. They are going to change her name but have not made a final decision yet. Her new family was headed straight to PetsMart after the adoption and the girls had a page long list of things they were going to buy for her. Lady is one lucky little girl!

Bow (formerly Scoops)

Adopted 12-23-06

Scoops went to his forever home with Kathy & Jeff in Littleton. They have 4 grown children also who look forward to spoiling him rotten over the holidays. The family has a long history of Dane experience, so he is in good hands. Someone is home most of the time, so Scoops will rarely have to be left alone. Kathy was reduced to tears in her excitement over her brand new addition who was wrapped up with a big red bow for Christmas! He will be very loved.

Bella (formerly Marcella)

Adopted 12-26-06

Marcella went to her forever home with Nate & Charla in Aurora. Nate grew up with Danes and they volunteer for us, so she is in wonderful, experienced hands! She has 2 cats to keep her company during the day. Her parents fell in love while fostering her and couldn't let her go. She will be very loved and spoiled for the rest of her life!

Britta

Adopted 12-30-06

Britta went to her forever home with Tom, Jamie, their two daughters and Grandma (who lives with them) in Byers. She has a Dane and 2 Dachshunds to play with as well as someone home almost all the time, so she will have plenty of exercise and attention. They were very excited about their new addition and treked out in the snow to pick her up. Britta took to the girls immediately and jumped right up in the truck into Grandma's lap for the long ride back to the country. Her new parents would like to volunteer, so we look forward to seeing lots of all of them soon!
