Listed below are the Great Danes we have placed this year.

Wilma

Adopted 5-24-07

Wilma went to her forever home with Guillermo & Susan in Golden. They were fostering her and fell in love! Her new parents are also Dane experienced, so she is in wonderful hands. She gets to go for 3-5 walks per day and they office from home which means she will rarely have to be left alone. They are working closely with a behaviorist on socialization and hope that they will be able to help foster again by fall. Wilma will be very loved and spoiled!

Jack

Adopted 5-24-07

Jack went to his forever home with Darrin in Pueblo. He will be the only dog, but has two cats to keep him company. His new dad is a teacher and has all summer off to work on training and socialization. Darrin is thrilled to have a new buddy to hang out with and take for lots of walks and will make sure that he is spoiled rotten for the rest of his life!

 

Ises

Adopted 5-25-07

Ises went to his forever home with Julie, her husband, and their 4 kids in Littleton. He has an Akita/Beagle mix brother named Toby who decided his new friend was pretty cool when he saw the basket of toys that came with him! Anna, their youngest, was excited to play ball with Ises and they all look forward to taking him for lots of walks and trips in the car. He will be very cared for and loved for the rest of his life.

Rafiki

Adopted 5-25-07

Rafiki went to his forever home with Kris & Bob in Denver. The recently lost their last Dane, who was also adopted from RMGDRI, and are thrilled to have another gentle giant in the house again. He has a German Shepherd sister named Jasmine to show him the ropes. They will make sure he is happy and spoiled for the rest of his days.

Missy

Adopted 5-26-07

Missy went to her forever home with Todd, his wife, and their 4 kids in Cedar Hills. She will be the only dog, but has 2 cats to keep her company. Someone is also almost always home, which means that she will rarely have to be left alone. Todd and his daughter were speechless when they first met her and could not believe how beautiful their new addition is! She will be very well loved and cared for.

Macie

Adopted 6-4-07

Macie went to her forever home with Trenny, Ben, Maddie, Mason, Noah and Jude in Centennial. They adopted their current Dane, Ollie(formerly Lou), from RMGDRI and have lots of experience with the breed. In addition to her Dane brother, Macie has a Blood Hound named Moose to play with who is very close in age and they hit it off immediately. Their older Lab, Sadie, and 2 cats, Oscar & Needles, will also keep her company. Someone is home almost all the time, so they have plenty of time to work on training and socialization. Macie will be very loved and spoiled!

Rufus (formerly Bruttis)

Adopted 6-4-07

Bruttis went to his forever home with Kevin & Elena in Monument. His new mom is mostly blind herself, so they developed a very special bond. His new parents are volunteers and were fostering him and decided that they wanted to make him a permanent member of the family. He has 2 Dane siblings to play with and show him the ropes! Bruttis looks forward to a life of relaxing on the couch and being spoiled by his humans. Many thanks to Kevin & Elena for opening their hearts and homes to a special needs Dane.

Oscar (formerly Budweiser)

Adopted 6-6-07

Budweiser went to his forever home with Meredith in Fort Collins. He will be the only dog and spoiled rotten! Meredith comes home at lunch and looks forward to taking him for lots of walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park. He will also get to play with her sisters Cane Corsos regularly. He will be very loved and his new mom couldn't get over what a mellow and well-behaved boy he is! She has decided to rename him Oscar.

Blue

Adopted 6-6-07

Blue went to his forever home with Brian & Katrina in Littleton. They had new raised feeders, a leash, gentle leader, and toys awaiting his arrival! They are excited to take him to their soccer games and are even talking of adopting a 2nd Dane once Blue is settled! He will be very loved and spoiled and get plenty of exercise because they are very active.

Chip

Adopted 6-7-07

Chip went to his forever home with Summer in St George. She was so excited about her new addition that she drove quite a ways to pick him up! He has a Min Pin sister to play with and keep him company. His new mom is experienced with the breed, so he is in wonderful hands. She looks forward to taking Chip on lots of walks and will make sure that he is spoiled rotten!

Jake (formerly Fred)

Adopted 6-7-07

Fred went to his forever home with Danny in Littleton. He has a new lab sister named Abby to play with and a new cat named Bosley to keep him company. His dad decided to re-name him Jake and looks forward to taking him for walks before and after work. He eventually will be taking Jake and Abby to the dog park to play on weekends! Jake had a brand new big dog bed, a new collar and leash and lots of toys waiting for him when he arrived!

Arthur

Adopted 6-9-07

Arthur went to his forever home with Robin in Aurora. She runs a cat rescue and has an enormous heart for homeless animals! She fostered a Dane in the past and fell in love with the breed. She can hardly believe that she finally has a gentle giant of her own. Arthur took to his new mommy immediately and they were headed to the pet store to do some shopping after we left. He will be very loved and will rarely be left alone!

Baby

Adopted 6-9-07

Baby went to her forever home with Kathy in Colorado Springs. Baby has a new Poodle brother to play with and keep him company in his new home. Baby's mom went shopping just for Baby before the placementand got her all kinds of new stuff! Baby got a new leash and gentle leader, a new collar, new toys, a raised feeder, food and treats! Her new mom thinks Baby is just as beautiful as she is sweet! Baby will be very spoiled and well loved!
