Katie
Adopted 11-15-2008
Katie's first meet &
greet with Michael and his family was incredible. She graced them
with her ballerina like stretch and then promptly went to lay next
to Michael. Katie was so gentle with the whole family and just captured
their hearts. It was love at first sight! Michael and his family
immediately went shopping for Katie's new beds and plenty of groceries.
When they arrived to pick her up, she walked right over to Michael
and greeted him with a big lean. She was ready to go home, and is
already proving to be a daddies girl. Katie will get to spend her
night shopping for toys, and have the rest of her life with her
wonderful new family.

Bailey
Adopted 11-21-2008

forever home with Jeff and his wife in Castle Rock. They do not
have any dogs currently so Bailey will be their "baby".

walking and to the dog park. While they have not owned a Great Dane
previously, they have a lot of experience with large breeds. We
know that Bailey is just thrilled with his new mom and dad.

Sadie
Adopted 11-21-2008
Sadie found her forever
home with Doug and Paula in Seward, Nebraska. Sadie will have a
Dalmatian brother, Ace, with whom she can play. Jake, the Hallum's
teenage son was at the home when we arrived. Jake is "Ace's
Human" whose job it is to spoil Ace rotten, per Paula. They
were all very excited about meeting Sadie, except Ace (who was
mildly annoyed at first), but warmed up to her after about 20 minutes
and accepted her as part of the pack. The meet and greet turned
out to be a placement. Ace has a basket full of toys from which
Sadie helped herself. Sadie has a big park and walking path which
is right
next to her new home. Way to go Sadie!!

Gus, Avril,
Sheeba
Adopted 11-21-2008
Joe & Kim have been
huge financial supporters of the Rescue for a long time. They had
adopted from us in the past and unfortunately these Danes crossed
the rainbow bridge far too soon. They have been watching our site
during this time period not sure if they were ready to adopt. They
finally felt the time was right and boy did they adopt in a BIG
way. Gus, Avril and Sheeba are now living the good life with Joe,
Kim and their daughter. They have a German Shephard sister to play
with but most of all they have a loving home. We are so thrilled
that all three of our Danes have found the perfect home.

Beau
Adopted 11-29-2008
Bob & Diane of Falcon,
CO picked up Beau yesterday and he is settling in wonderfully. He
slept in his crate last night with no problem, though they discovered
in the morning that he thinks their bed is much more comfortable.
He has easily buddied up with our little rat terrier, Dodger and
he'd like to make friends with the cat, but the cat is having no
part of that just yet! He has checked out the big back yard and
just loves to run, and he has met the neighboring dogs, too. He
woofs nicely at the back door to come in - what a smart guy he is!

Holly was so excited to pick him up she drove all the way to Parker
to get him. He got along famously with their 10 year old Dane and
