Jax

Adopted 3-18-09

Jax has gone home with Laura and Frank in Highlands Ranch, Colorado! The couple has three children and no pets, but they have plenty of play dates with friends who have dogs. Jax will certainly have his pick of canine friends to pal around with! Laura, Frank and the children are so excited to welcome to Jax into their family – they will make wonderful and loving parents!

Sam

Adopted 3-18-09

Sam has gone home with Lisa and Sean in Commerce City, Colorado! The Harts are a very active family with two cats, two dogs and four kids who are into sports. The dogs go with them to all of their outdoor sporting events and walk to and from school with the kids, so Sam will rarely be left alone -- and certainly have no lack of exercise!

Bella

Adopted 3-18-09

Thin Lizzy (formerly Bella) has gone home with her foster mom, Marika, in Idaho! While fostering, Marika just fell in love with this sweet girl and could not let her go! Thin Lizzy will now be the big sister (and partner in crime!) to Marika's Chinese Crested. While Marika will no longer be able to foster, she is looking forward to helping us grow RMGDRI into Idaho.

Max

Duke

Adopted 3-21-09

Duke has gone home with Larry in Denver, Colorado! Larry has no other pets so Duke will get a lot of personal attention. Larry lives in a dog-friendly community with a private dog park nearby. He loves to hike and travels only where Duke will be able to go with him. What’s more, Larry works from home most of the time, so Duke will always have
his bud close by!

Sissy

Adopted 3-21-09

Sissy has gone home with Vince and Janna in Arvada, Colorado! The couple has two cats and a few reptiles, and someone is home almost all of the time -- so Sissy will get lots and lots of well-deserved attention! Vince and Janna have been waiting for the perfect dog to
cross their paths, and Sissy is it! They are planning a huge shopping trip with her and she will be spoiled rotten.

Zeke

Adopted 4-2-09

Zeke has gone home with Tanya, her husband Mike and their five children in Utah! Zeke is being welcomed into a very active household and will have a Pug and a Lab to pal around with! Tanya runs a daycare from home, and the family plans to continue to foster for the Rescue.

Butler has gone home with Jen and her boyfriend and son in Thornton, Colorado! The family was involved in our Foster to Adopt Program. Butler will have a 10-month-old Pit Bull puppy and two cats to play with, and at least one family member is home most of the time, so he won't want for lots of love and attention!

Guiness

Adopted 4-5-09

Guiness has gone home with Dane and Diana in Greeley, Colorado! With three cats and big yard to play in, Guiness will have lots of room to explore! The couple is new to Greeley and recently began fostering for the Rescue. They plan to continue to foster for us.

Slate

Slate has gone home with Heather in Denver! She adopted her current female Dane from the RMGDRI and currently volunteers for the Rescue. Heather can't wait to have another Dane in the house. We look forward to seeing Slate at future events!

Meg and her husband are avid travelers and plan to take Duck with them on their trips. They also hope to adopt a buddy for Duck to pal around with this summer. When they met Duck, the couple welcomed him with lots of pets and love and couldn't wait to get him home!

Marilyn

Adopted 4-10-09

Marilyn has gone home with Hope and Charlie in Colorado Springs! Charlie is retired and home most of the time, so Marilyn will be in good company. She will also have a Great Dane mix brother and Chesapeake sister as part of her new entourage. Hope and Charlie wanted to help with the placement of an older dog and have been interested in Marilyn from the very beginning. They do a lot of walking and plan to take the dogs on their family vacations.

They currently have no other pets, take lots of walks, and someone is home most of the time. They hope to add another Dane for Duke to pal around with in the future! Duke was just diagnosed with Wobbler's and they are very excited to give him the best possible life.

Rupert

Adopted 4-21-09

Rupert has gone home with Jason and Melissa and their family in Nebraska! The couple applied to adopt Nodin, but Nodin is going home today (also to Nebraska). They wanted to adopt a senior Dane to give their new family member the best possible life during his or her golden years. Jason and Melissa are Dane experienced, and have a toddler and a one-year-old Corgi mix who prefers to keep to himself. Rupert will have his very own room, there no stairs in the home and there is lots of grass to lounge around on outside!

Milo

Adopted 4-21-09

Milo has gone home with Carol in Colorado Springs! Carol and her husband adopted Phred from the Rescue over a year ago and it turns out -- Phred needed a friend! They plan to use a trainer with Milo who specializes in training deaf dogs. Milo will be treated like a king and spoiled rotten the rest of his days!

Midnight

Adopted 4-21-09

Midnight has gone home with Jessi and his family in Colorado Springs! They have two children, ages 9 and 13, as well as two small dogs and three cats -- so Midnight will have plenty of friends to play with! Jessi grew up with English Mastiffs and has lots of large breed experience. The family walks daily and takes their dogs with them everywhere! In fact, when they picked her up they had Midnight's new pink leash and collar on the ready!

Family photo coming soon.

Zoey

Adopted 4-21-09

We are really enjoying Zoey's addition to our family. Miles, our lab mix, and Zoey enjoy running amuck behind our house in the open space. They take turns chasing each other. Zoey sleeps at night in her crate and even takes an occasional nap in there if we leave it open, but has discovered "the chair" too, but we try to keep her off of all furniture. She has two of her very own large poposan pillow dog beds in the house and enjoys play time with her toys. She has made "best friends" with a blue female dane, Stella, 11 months old, that just moved in up the street. They have play dates and wear each other out. Miles even gets in the mix. She is a lover and a leaner. She gets much attention on the weekends as we back up to soccer fields that are full from here on out. Soccer goers and dog walkers just stop at our fence to watch her gallop across the yard in excitement. Thanks RMGDRI for sending Ms. Zoey our way and thanks for all you do for all the Danes!
