Adopted Great Danes - Page 1

Listed below are the Great Danes we have placed this year.

Harley

Adopted 1-10-10

Harley has gone home with James and Audry in Westmister, Colorado! The couple met Harley this weekend and just had to take her home. They have a 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel that just loved Harley when they met -- and the feeling was mutual! They do not have any children and are able to come home at lunch to visit Harley. They are very excited to have her home!

Moose

Adopted 1-10-10

Moose has gone home with a family in Pocatello, Idaho! The family is Dane experienced and want to train Moose to be a therapy dog for cancer patients in their daughter's honor. They currently have a Schnauzer and a Lab, so Moose will have plenty of friends to play with. They also have a teenage daughter. We are confident Moose has found his forever home!

Bear

Adopted 1-12-10

Bear has gone home with Dave and Mary in Denver! The couple loved him at first sight. They currently have a cat and Dave's daughter has a 2-year-old Dane, so Bear will have lot of doggie play dates! Dave and Mary's children are grown and out of the house, and there are smaller children in the family that Bear will be socialized with. They are very excited to have a Dane and look forward to lots of walks, camping and hiking with Bear!

Dazey

Adopted 1-15-10

With Will and Andrea in Albquerque, NM. They currently have no other pets, hike almost every weekend, walk every day, and are very active with friends with dogs. They have no children and Daisy will be their first dog together.

Katy

Adopted 1-15-10

George in AZ just loves her. He currently has a 2 year old female dane and they get along great. He does continue to have some issues with her but only with black labs so he is more than willing to deal with that since he knows what her triggers are. Katy will be very well loved.

Bruce

Adopted 1-15-10

With Peter and his wife in Erie. He has had giant breeds in the past and wanted a dog that needed special help. He waited patiently for Bruce to come off of medical hold. They have no kids, no other pets right now, come home for lunch, and look forward to lots of hiking and camping trips with him.

Hattie

Adopted 1-16-10

With Toni and Ryan in Parker. They currently have 2 cats. They also have a 5 year old child. They are very active with camping and hiking and plan to take Hattie to Toni's father's ranch in WY on a regular basis.

Milo

Adopted 1-16-10

George and Jennifer in Loveland. They have dane experience, have a female 11 year old springer spaniel, a cat, and 10 acres of land and llamas. She is an artist and has a gallery at home so she very rarely is away form the house. They have no kids nor have any plans to have any.

Boots (aka Socks)

Adopted 1-23-10

Boots (aka Socks) has gone home with Kristin in Aurora, Colorado! Kristin's family met Boots over the weekend and just fell in love with her! Boots bonded immediately with Kristin's young son and husband. The couple currently doesn't have any other pets, so Boots will be the center of attention! What's more, Kristin is a stay-at-home mom, so Boots won't have to spend much time alone.

Zina

Adopted 1-29-10

Zena has gone home with Molly in Omaha, Nebraska! Megan has two cats and has owned Labs in the past. She currently has no other dogs. Megan works across the street from her house so she goes home several times a day for quick visits -- Zena will be in very good company! Megan has no children, is very active, and is looking forward to many walks in the park! We are confident she is in very good hands.

Patches

Adopted 1-30-10

Patches has gone home with Melissa and her family in Bellevue! Melissa adopted Rupert from the Rescue last fall, and he recently passed away. She is very involved in fostering for us in Nebraska. Melissa currently has no other pets and has two small children. She is a stay-at-home mom, so Patches will get plenty of attention! The family is very excited to have another Dane in the house and plans to continue fostering once Patches settles in. We are confident Patches is in the best possible hands.

Blizzard

Adopted 1-30-10

Blizzard has gone home with Theresa in Castle Rock, Colorado! Theresa is good friends with Trenny (Blizzard's foster mom) and has met him several times. She has one other dog that has bonded well with Blizzard on the hikes and walks they have been on, so Blizzard will have a fast friend for life. Theresa also has a large home that backs up against open space, so there will be plenty of room for Blizzard to stretch his legs. Both Theresa and her husband understand that he needs boundaries and are looking forward to working with him. They also have four children, three of whom live at home, so Blizzard will have lots of company and attention!

Sarge

Adopted 1-30-10

Sarge has gone home with Dawn and her family in Commerce City, Colorado! The family met Sarge and just fell in love with him! They currently have a four-year-old GSP who hit it off immediately with Sarge. They also have two older children and are always running around, and we are confident Sarge will have lots of activity and socialization. They are also Dane experienced, so Sarge will be in excellent hands!
