It is our purpose to find new, permanent, and loving homes for Great Danes that have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned in primarily Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Utah.
We are a nonprofit organization that derives its operating funds from donations.
We believe that Danes are most misunderstood because of their size.
We know Great Danes to be extremely sensitive and loving creatures whose hearts are greater than they are big.
With this in mind Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue chooses to understand the specific needs of each dane and adopting home in an attempt to find the best possible match.

Want to help the with the rescue and proper adoption of Great Danes?
Consider helping us on a part time basis. We need help with transport, short or long term foster care, fund raising and membership drives, adoption application processing and follow-up, home checks, post adoption follow-up, shelter visits, etc.
You do not have to have danes or have had danes to help.
We need willing helpers to help us with administrative tasks, membership and fundraising, application processing etc.
If you have a heart to help these wonderful creatures, are responsible, and have time to spare we can use your help!

Please remember that we are all volunteers. No one answers our phone line. It is a message system, so if you don't leave a message, we can't call you back. Most phone calls and emails are returned in the evenings, usually within 24 to 48 hrs.

Please be aware that due to spam and filtering controls you may not receive a return email from us unless you select to receive email from us.
